Global YO is an American company headquartered in New York with offices in Mexico, Belarus, and Ukraine. The main product is a mobile application that combines connectivity (through eSIM and mobile data packages available in 112 countries) with local entertainment and recommendations (through live music, movies, shows, games, news and maps). Global YO is one of three business units in Yonder Media Mobile: www.yondermediamobile.com.
About this role:
We are looking for an energetic, relentless, optimistic junior-mid-level project owner who understands mobile applications and how to align their successful completion with business priorities. This is an ideal role for someone looking to quickly build experience in the world of Project Management at an innovative startup. You must consider yourself an overcommunicator, be extremely confident and savvy on a laptop (60 WPM typing speed), and understand the world of Jira for technical project management.
Salary is $65k-$85k gross USD per annum benefits commuter stipend (our offices are in the Bronx and this role should plan to go 5 days a week).
Non-negotiables for this role:
- Able to work from our Bronx offices in NYC 5 days a week
- Understands the world of Atlassian Suite (namely Jira Project Tracking Software and using Confluence for documentation)
- Feels 100% at home typing and working on a laptop; extremely tech-savvy
- Not easily discouraged; if you don't get the information you need, you ask again and again until you get it and don't take rejection personally
- Relentless communicator; you are willing to repeat yourself until you're hoarse to get the message across to all stakeholders. And given our distributed team, your written communication has to be world-class
- Detail-oriented to the point of obsession; you won't leave any task undone or go past its deadline without an adjustment or update
- Enthusiastic and knows how to communicate that enthusiasm: When the project owner is excited about how the end product will benefit customers and the company, their excitement is contagious. The project team stays motivated because their work has meaning, and stakeholders will support the project however they can because they understand how it furthers their own goals.
- Proactive: You don't need to be told what needs to be done; you anticipate it
- Experience working in a fast-paced, constantly changing, scrappy startup environment preferred (you're not daunted by rapid change and every day being different)

We’re looking for people who will lead brainstorms, suggest ways to help their coworkers solve problems, or be willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in if their help/skillset is needed (the “no task too small” attitude). We expect that the first response to a problem is to start finding solutions.
