Join the dedicated team at Yorkview Nursing and Rehab as an Assistant Food Service Director and play a key role in delivering high-quality nutrition services for our residents.
Pay Rate : $18 up to $21 per hour
Shift Available : Full-Time, 11 : 00 AM 7 : 30 PM, with every other weekend (EOW) required.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily operations within the dietary department.
- Supervise and manage food service employees, including scheduling, hiring, and performance management.
- Prepare meals according to planned menus and authorized recipes, ensuring adherence to special diet orders.
- Monitor resident care plans to ensure dietary needs are met.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote smooth facility operations.
- Provide nutrition counseling with assistance from the registered dietitian.
Qualifications :
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.
- Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP) certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Dietary Director or equivalent role, meeting state regulatory requirements.
- Cooking experience required; previous long-term care or geriatric food service experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills with prior supervisory experience.
