Description
Duties/Responsibilities: Arranges food and beverage items in a serving line for the purpose of serving them to program participants and eligible youth; Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor of need for repair and/or replacement. Report any and all issues to Nutrition & Outreach Program Director immediately; Maintains equipment, storage, food preparation and serving areas in a sanitary condition (e.g. cleaning and sanitizing tables, trays, counters, etc.) for the purpose of complying with current health standards and ensuring the safety of foods handling. Inspect site Supper refrigerator to ensure cleanliness; Account for the sites refrigerator temperature log; Make sure food delivered matches what is on the delivery ticket and on the MPR; Collects items to be processed for the purpose of recording, reporting and/or sending on to other personnel; Account for the number of shelf stable meals present at the site; Observed students, staff, and parents to ensure that all parties are following Food Program policies and procedures; Keep up to date with health and safety rules and regulations pertaining to food establishments including sanitation and maintenance regulations; Follow all rules and regulations under Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) & Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Hours: Part-Time/Non-Exempt. Monday through Friday – 1:30pm to 5:30pm
Wage: $15 per hour

Qualifications
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess at least a High School Diploma or G.E.D.; Ability to use typical business software and office equipment; Understanding of the nature and purpose of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff; As a YMCA Business Driver, the employee must possess a valid/current CA Driver’s License or other valid state driver’s license and must provide to the Y proof of minimum CA vehicle insurance coverage upon request & must also maintain an approved/acceptable driving record. An annual MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) will be conducted by the Y. Employees who are YMCA Business Drivers who do not maintain an acceptable driving record may be prohibited from being a Business Driver which could affect employment status; Must submit to and comply with all requirements for employment including, but not limited to, a criminal background check, drug/alcohol testing, health screening, TB test.
