The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for coordinating, executing, and actively managing onboarding activities for new hires from offer acceptance through their first day of employment. This includes interacting with new hires and ensuring that we appropriately complete necessary onboarding documentation on a timely basis. As a Talent Engagement Onboarding Specialist, your primary role will be working with candidates on the phone to complete the PeopleReady onboarding process in prep of dispatch to assignments for branches and National accounts across North America.
- You will be aligned to a shift/market/region or work group as needed.
- You may be aligned to both inbound and outbound calls.
- Work will be completed according to compliance requirements.
- You'll interface directly with your supervisor and leads as aligned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Work on the phones to complete onboarding activities with new candidates.
- Work within the systems of records with input and updates.
- Update trackers based on work completed
- Send emails to candidates and branches using templates.
- Manage time efficiently to address market needs and high-volume projects.
- Coordinates closely with the talent acquisition teams to successfully complete new hire, rehire and contingent worker entries into the HRIS system.
- Act as a resource to all new hires and their managers with questions and supply necessary resources needed to successfully bring them aboard.
- Monitor electronic onboarding completion across the US and Canada populations
- Ensure compliance with all regulation and oversee I9 and E-verify process
- Assist with executing onboarding programs
- Regularly assesses and recommends program changes and enhancements to drive better retention and engagement of new hires.
- Follow up with new employees to evaluate on-boarding experience and recommend ways to enhance the new hire onboarding programs and experience.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; or two years Human Resources experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with a sense of urgency
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills; especially demonstrated ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues and constituents and work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient in all MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
The starting pay for this role is $18.00 per hour. Majority remote work environment. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.
