Nurse Manager for Adolescent Behavioral Health Inpatient Facility

This position provides clinical management, leadership, coordination, and operational direction for the nursing department at Youth Development Institute (YDI) ensuring high quality care in a behavioral health inpatient facility for adolescents with an average daily population of 45.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of nurses to provide quality care to our clients
• Provides guidance, leadership, and training to nursing staff
• Consults and collaborates with Medical and Psychiatric providers
• Arranges and manages nursing schedules, assignments, and tasks
• Assists in the selection, evaluation, and development of nursing staff
• Implements regulatory guidelines and recommends measures to ensure the provision of high quality, compassionate, safe patient care
• Evaluates and implements infection control plan, investigates medication errors, and audits nursing forms and documentation for quality
• Assessing immunization needs of clients and delegating needs to nurses, ordering vaccines, and managing vaccine inventory and documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent in nursing experience.
• Must have at least two years of adolescent behavioral health experience, with at least one year of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Must possess a current, valid Arizona RN license and be in good standing with the AZ Board of Nursing.
• Requires current BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
• Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Bilingual is preferred.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment

Salary dependent on experience from $48 - $56 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48.00 - $56.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
