Summary
This position is a member of the Yuba County Visitation Center Team. The Visit Coach provides a safe, respectful, compassionate environment for families to visit. The position also provides parenting instruction to parents, encourages positive relationships between all involved parties, holds appropriate boundaries, provides appropriate feedback to parents, maintains communication with county social workers, and completes visitation notes. This position also assists with the overall upkeep of the facility and visitation center supplies.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Worker, Counseling, Child Development or related field preferred.
- Experience working with “at risk” children and families.
- Understanding of interpersonal relationships.
- Contemporary understanding of children and the skills needed to facilitate their growth and development.
- CPR/1st Aide Certification.
- Knowledge of parenting skills and curriculum.
The estimated base pay for Visit Coach is $20.00 to $25.00, additional individual compensation may be available. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefit program is available for qualifying position.
