As an Abuse Manager for the New Products abuse team within YouTube Trust and Safety, you will lead a team of analysts. You will formulate metric strategies and implement analytical solutions to drive insights for successful detection and enforcement efforts at scale within YouTube. This includes developing a key performance indicator (KPI) and measurement across Trust and Safety. You will also develop experimentation and analysis to understand key abuse oriented business questions and drive insights at an executive level to improve abuse mitigation efforts.

You will work cross-functionally and engage with stakeholders from Policy, Legal, Engineering, Data Science, Ranking, and Product teams across a variety of complex community abuse issues. You will help to ensure that users have a safe and high-quality community experience on the YouTube Platform.

In this role, you may be exposed to graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content during team escalations in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines. You may be required to perform on-call work at weekends and holiday hours on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of YouTube analysts to perform deep investigations, and apply advanced statistical methods to large/complex data sets spanning events and features from diverse data sources across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and partners in Engineering, Product, Policy, and Legal teams to drive complex anti-abuse solutions involving and impacting various cross-functional areas.
• Formulate a practical and high-impact long-term strategy and direction. Lead a team of analysts to cover a variety of abuse vectors across YouTube community engagements.
• Identify abuse trends and techniques early. Develop and deploy anti-abuse countermeasures on a tight schedule to manage abuse at scale.
• Demonstrate high-level product and policy knowledge by understanding and designing training roadmaps. Influence between multiple levels.
