Responsibilities:
Decorator baked goods for custom orders, including weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions.
Mix icing, fondant, and other decorating materials to the right color and consistency.
Use various decoration tools and techniques, including airbrushing, hand-painting, and sculpting, to create desired effects.
Ensure all production meet the company’s quality and aesthetic standards.
Keep inventory of decorating supplies and ingredients, and order new stock as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Stay up to date with the latest trends in cake decoration and suggest new ideas to improve product offerings.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cake Decorator, Pastry Chef, or similar role.
Portfolio showcasing your decorating skills.
Strong understanding of baking science and proper handling of all types of baking goods and decorations.
Proficiency in various cake decorating techniques and tools.
Creativity and attention to detail.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good communication skills for effective customer consultations.
Formal training in Culinary Arts, Pastry Making, or a related field is a plus.
