YSI is seeking a highly qualified DPOR - Technical Writer 4. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- This position designs and maintains the internal and external (website) document library and will also serve as a backup Web Coordinator responsible for updating website content.
- The position will gather and verify organizational and procedural information, as well as evaluate and prioritize forms/letter design requests.
- The technical writer will work with employees in all operational areas of DPOR to collect and/or compose documents; review documents for clarity and accuracy; verify content and ensure consistency of language; and learn new system functionality to understand the database and incorporate and test merge codes into system templates.
- Documentation of processes and system functionality will also be required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Experience Manager, SharePoint, and/or Box (5 Years)
- Knowledge of business English, spelling, proofreading and the ability write documents using proper English and grammar (4 Years)
- Proven ability to understand complex verbal instructions and/or statutes, regulations, policies and procedures (3 years)
- General understanding of database tables, templates, merge codes, document formatting and scripting languages (JavaScript, VBA)
- Bachelors degree in writing-intensive field (e.g., English or communications) or a computer-related or technical field.
Salary: $ 50,000/Annually with benefits
