POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is under the general supervision of the Human Resources Director. The HR Coordinator provides all aspects of training for the personnel program, health and safety, labor relations, and employee relations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop training material to provide instruction to employees on personnel policy.
2. Conducts employee orientations to train employees on personnel policy and other policies within the Tribe.
3. Develops a training calendar and seeks, schedules, and conducts training. Monitors training for effectiveness.
4. Informs staff of training sources to meet job requirements such as management, investigations, finance, employee law, etc.
5. Provides technical guidance to staff on procedures, regulations, and new instructions.
6. Provides technical guidance and assistance to directors, program managers, and supervisors and instructs personnel in regulations or procedures related to staff responsibilities.
7. Assists with recruitment as needed.
8. Assists HR Generalists as needed.
9. Ensures that guidance is provided to supervisors in planning job-related career development activities for the employees.
10. Create HR training videos.
11. Create a yearly training calendar that focuses on compliance training and staff development training.
12. Monitor and review employee performance appraisal process. Prepare quarterly reports on compliance.
13. Conduct employee exit interviews.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. G8: Bachelor's degree in related field with one year job specified experience.
2. Employee must be willing to acquire any special certifications or attend any training that is determined to be relevant or becomes required of the position in the future.
3. Candidates with equivalent combinations of education, training and experience will be considered.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to plan and schedule workload independently.
2. Must have the ability to interpret Tribal policies, State, Federal and other governmental rules, laws and regulations.
3. Highly skilled in human development with ability to motivate and empower others and ability to relate positively to diverse people in a variety of situations.
4. Must have proficient computer skills.
5. Highly skilled in communication both in writing and verbally.
6. Extensive administrative experience is required.

Pay: $24.88 - $37.64 per hour
