The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead and provide clear strategic direction to the team of Manufacturing Engineers and Maintenance in order to develop and implement new and improved processes into our manufacturing facility.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Support plant objectives and goals in terms of safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost reduction through continuous improvement of the plant manufacturing processes.
- Participates as a member of the plant leadership team in determining strategy and direction for plant operations.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership to the plant Maintenance and Engineering teams including both identification and prioritization of projects and routine tasks.
- Responsible for capital planning and budget development for engineering and maintenance activities.
- Continually seek new technology opportunities.
- Support and expand Lean culture throughout the plant.
- Identify and manage technical outside service providers and contractors.
- Support the NPI program with regards ensuring manufacturing process to manufacturing new products to required specs and required efficiencies.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
- 8 years of manufacturing engineering/technical leadership experience
- Experience with manufacturing processes including assembly, fabrication, powder coat paint, and electrical testing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must possess strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with all levels of employees
- Must have Strong computer skills with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications. Able to develop summary graphs, tables, pivot tables, and other reports using PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Strong Knowledge of Lean and 6 Sigma principles.
- Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Problems solving and data analysis skills (8D, 5Y, statistics, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills (comparative analysis via spreadsheet)
- Strong Quality Systems knowledge including:
- PPAP, APQP, PFMEA and control plant
- Error-proofing (Poka-yoke)
- ISO or TS 16949 depth of understanding
- Strong engineering and process conformance knowledge and experience including SWI (standard work), Testing and audit processes, and Engineering change management and support
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and test rigs.
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of auditing processes.
- Is able to provide strong leadership through teamwork as a motivational leader. Demonstrates teamwork abilities, as well as persistence when dealing with problems.
- Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy required
- Works well under stress with the ability to deliver on time required
Quality

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
