Zantech is is seeking a motivated Proposal Manager to provide hands-on proposal leadership and management in support of high-priority and strategic Federal proposals. Volume areas supported include corporate experience, past performance, resumes, management and technical with the support of internal and external SMEs. Position is mostly remote, but looking for someone in the DC metro area that can come into the office to collaborate.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Lead/Manage/Support the overall proposal development process for priority/strategic proposals as assigned
- Coach and train proposal teams on the development of complex, compliant and compelling proposal responses
- Produce and manage proposal templates/outlines, kickoff documentation, compliance matrices, status meetings, proposal deliverables and knowledge repository
- Develop/maintain/own proposal schedule and drive adherence to the schedule from beginning to end
- Ensure timely delivery to the customer - with support from whole team
- Author proposal sections supported by internal/external SMEs
- Lead kick-off/status meetings and track action items
- Analyze customer solicitation documents to drive compliance
- Lead proposal color team reviews (modified/adapted Shipley) to include scheduling, preparing, supporting review and final inclusion of all changes
- Color team review, edit and provide final white glove review of proposal and attachments
- Own the administrative proposal volume(s)
- Finalize proposals for submission
- Preparation and documentation of proposal guides and manuals
- Participation in continuous improvement activities
- Basic proposal graphics development and understanding
Required Experience, Knowledge Skills and Ability
- 3-5 years’ experience leading, managing and winning information technology and/or system engineering proposals greater than $25 million
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple proposals subject to tight deadlines
- Ability to review and edit, as well as author as necessary, compelling, persuasive proposals within page count
- Understanding of Information Technology and System Engineering
- Excellent analytical and persuasive skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience briefing C-Suite and other Senior Management
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- BA/MA in Business Administration/Political Science/English/Journalism/Communications
- To be eligible for this role, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at time of hire.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to serve as Management Volume lead
- Secret Clearance desired
- Master's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Shipley Trained and Shipley/APMP Certification
- APMP Membership
