Zazzali PC is an established and respected law firm seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Newark office. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to partners and associates.
- Prepare, edit, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, letters, memoranda and other legal documentation.
- Maintain centralized office files in digital and paper format.
- Transcribe legal documents, correspondence and reports from written drafts and dictation software.
- Enter daily time sheets of attorney's activities by client/matter.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned by responsible attorneys and administrative personnel.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a legal environment.
- Satisfactory academic credentials or work equivalent.
- Experience in ProLaw, or similar software, as well as transcription software.
- Ability and desire to learn and embrace new skills and best practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.
