ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Leads and manages multiple complex projects in R&D.
* Plans projects, provides direction and coordinates the efforts of project team members.
* Creates and maintains development schedules which includes project budget tracking and management of the overall risks of various projects.
* Drives to keep resources on task and on schedule, manage change, understand project risks and ensure that they get prioritized, highlighted, addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
* Identifies and manages technical and schedule dependencies across multiple teams and ensure that they are understood, planned for and executed against, appropriately.
* Contributes to the development of product requirements, business plans, and system requirements, through expertise in medical device development.
* Interacts with senior management in R&D, Marketing, Clinical/Regulatory Affairs, Customer Care, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to ensure successful product development and introductions. Will escalate and enlist their support when needed and set and manage expectations.
* Provides regular updates to all Stakeholders, Management and Partners on project status and deliverables
* Advocates for effective processes. Influences continual improvement in project management and product development processes.
* Works with functional managers in development of existing staff and hiring additional well-qualified personnel.

REQUIREMENTS:
* BA or BS degree required
* Eight (8) years Program Management responsibilities/experience
* Five (5) years of experience in medical device industry
* Five (5) years process improvement experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills; and strong presentation skills
* Experience working with global teams
* Working knowledge of IT-based tools for planning, organizing, resourcing.
The annual salary range for this position:
- SF Bay Area $140,000 - $175,000
- The salary offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
- This position is also eligible for a performance bonus.
