Description
The VDC Site Manager is responsible for the implementation, development, and management of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technologies on assigned construction projects. They ensure these technologies are effectively integrated into construction operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project visualization. They use their expertise in building general construction, BIM, and Scanning. They oversee day-to-day operations from pre-construction through completion. The site manager will also manage construction site personnel, subcontractors, deliverables, and ensure all resources are readily available and properly allocated. This position is full-time exempt and will report to the highest-ranking ZELUS stakeholder assigned to the project – Construction Manager.
Objective
Manage the project’s day to day deliverables as defined by the contracted document, maintain profitability objectives of the company, and provide exceptional customer service.
Role/Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate BIM/VDC technology with all project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.
- Implement and manage BIM/VDC standards, processes, and protocols on the construction site, ensuring that project objectives and company standards are met.
- Work with the project team to integrate BIM/VDC into the overall project schedule and workflow.
- Assist the construction team in using BIM/VDC tools for project visualization, planning, coordination, and management.
- Support project team members in the use of BIM/VDC technology.
- Evaluate, select, and implement new BIM/VDC software and hardware as needed.
- Use BIM/VDC tools to detect and resolve construction conflicts and issues before they impact the project.
- Create and manage 3D model database for project coordination and documentation.
- Participate in BIM/VDC coordination meetings, providing input and recommendations.
- Report on BIM/VDC progress and issues to project management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality control standards using BIM/VDC tools.
- Facilitate effective client communication.
Required Experience
- 5 years of experience in the Construction / VDC / Scanning Industry.
- Skilled in BIM and management software.
- Technical/trade knowledge, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Communication skills require the ability to influence, negotiate and explain intricate processes to clients and staff.
Travel Expectations
Travel to client sites, as necessary. Could include out-of-state or overnight travel.

This job operates remotely on a project site, either in an office environment, or in a project environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.
Physical Requirements
