What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Social Media Manager position at Zenefits?
At TriNet Zenefits, our mission is to level the playing field for the other 99.7%— the underserved small and mid-size businesses that fuel our economy. These businesses face challenges disproportionate to their size and resources. That’s why we provide an intuitive, mobile, all-in-one People Operations ("POPs") platform specifically built for small businesses and their employees.
The Role:
We’re looking for an ace in marketing creative campaigns to lead our social efforts!
This is a rare opportunity to help design and lead a creative social approach with the support of an existing marketing & design team. The Sr. Social Media Manager position is a strategic, team-lead role responsible for a small team’s success on several KPIs. A successful candidate should have demonstrable examples of ideating B2B social media campaigns through to execution and results.
What exactly does that mean?
Well, we’re looking for that unicorn human who sits at the confluence of natural business acumen and creative chops. Someone who isn’t afraid to develop edge-pushing concepts, but simultaneously ensures that a great creative concept doesn’t eclipse the importance of driving business results first. While you don’t need to be an expert in Adobe Illustrator or Wordpress yourself—though you likely have some experience with those tools—you can demonstrate clear and articulate creative briefs for things like images, graphics, videos, infographics, animations, etc. for design teams.
You understand that social media is often the first or only impression people have about a brand, so you obsess about good grammar, appropriate social media etiquette in terms of voice, tone, and content, and have experience working with legal teams.
You likely already live a life with your finger on the pulse in your normal life, making the fast-paced, “always-on” nature of social media a no-problem scenario for you. If something is trending, you’re on it. If something’s novel, you’re on it. If there is an important news break within the company, you’re on it.
And most importantly for TriNet TriNet Zenefits, you “own a number.” In this role, you will own a portion of the total marketing lead volume, organic traffic, and social media followership, and make it your job and mission to increase your impact on those numbers through your creative and strategic approaches. This includes weekly and monthly reporting on KPIs and the ability to pivot or change strategic direction to reach goals.
At TriNet Zenefits we think of social media as one of the most important roles in the company. This is not a junior position with a senior title. This is a critical component to our go to market strategy and brand. We’re excited to have you on board.
