What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet set attendant position at Zermatt Resort?
The Banquet Set-up handles the completion of the set-up and break-down of banquet events in a safe and efficient manner.
This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to :
- Aid in cleaning and setting of meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resumes and BEO's, or as given by management staff.
- Vacuuming of floors, cleaning of walls, windows, and mirrors; proper care, movement, and storage of equipment, including tables, chairs, risers, dance floors and lecterns as needed.
- Proper control and storage of meeting room supplies, such as linens, pads, pens, and meeting amenities as needed
- The Banquet Set-up will also help in servicing meeting rooms by removing trash, clearing dirty plates, cups, glasses, and / or linens;
straightening chairs; and replenishing water as specified or asked.
- The Banquet Set Up must be flexible with schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and change the course of action quickly, being flexible.
- Maintain a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Maintain close communication with F&B Management.
- Provide outstanding guest service
- Observe all safety standards
- Create positive relationships with internal departments.
- Create positive relationships with all event guests and hosts
- Any other duties as outlined by the F&B Management team
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school or equivalent education required
- Previous banquet hospitality set-up experience required
- Requires effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have basic math skills.
- Knowledge of equipment storage safety
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Positions require walking and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Length of time of tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
Must be able to lift to 80 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
