Responsibilities

  • Translate brand strategies and commercial needs into actionable brand plans, tactics, activations, and sales initiatives that align with business and brand objectives
  • Plan, execute, and monitor fully integrated marketing campaigns (both evergreen and new products) that drive acquisition, purchase, and retention, ensuring brand and messaging consistency across the consumer journey
  • Build breakthrough communications that will build brand equity and drive short and long-term growth, including:
    • Owning creative brief for external collaborators; identify best creative territories/idea for development
    • Managing creative development and execution, and ensure alignment brand, consumer, and culture
    • Thinking strategically and holistically across full marketing mix, with focus on both established and new platforms
  • Collaborate with Consumer Insights team to:
    • Develop a deep comprehension of the consumer and use insights to drive brand and campaign strategy; identify areas of opportunity to deepen understanding
    • Interpret analytics into ownable and actionable marketing communications that inspire consumers to purchase/repurchase
    • Develop and approve research plans for product / packaging resdesign and new creative campaigns
  • Understand the drivers of our key brand metrics (Brand Health / Awareness) and implement programs that will positively move the brand needle
  • Manage external creative agency; facilitate creative review discussions with marketing leadership to gain alignment on strategy, approach, and execution; own feedback to creative agency
  • Manage Marketing budget, conducting monthly reconciliation and ensuring plans are executed within budget
  • Monitor sales and market trends, research category markets and competitors' activities to identify key market opportunities and issues
  • Develop, plan and oversee PR strategy and ensure consistency in accordance with brand strategy
  • Partner with Paid Media Manager and external agency partners to define the consumer journey – paid media, blog, content, CRM, website, etc – and develop strategies and messaging frameworks that move consumers down the funnel
  • Collaborate with Sales to create annual retail marketing plans that optimize brand presence and drive velocity (content, campaigns, training events, etc)
  • Manage one direct report, a Social Media and Influencer Marketing Specialist, who is responsible for content planning, development, measurement, and community management across all owned social media platforms and influencer marketing initiatives
  • Anticipate and identify problems and develop solutions using creativity and innovation

 

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business or related field. MBA a plus.
  • 5 years in brand marketing or brand management in the consumer goods industry, ideally a brand with both e-commerce and brick & mortar distribution.
  • Proven ability to implement brand and marketing strategies.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate purchase
  • Passion for campaign development; experience writing creative briefs, writing and delivering agency feedback, and managing agency relationships
  • Experience in PR, social media campaigns and influencer marketing
  • Comfort in both leading strategy and executing - not afraid to dive into the work to troubleshoot or execute as needed.
  • Able to pivot between day-to-day management and longer-term brand strategy projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail
  • Ability to use analytical skills to identify challenges & opportunities as it relates to products, category changes, competitive threats and changes in sales in the marketplace
  • Very strong communication and presentation skills; experience managing cross functional teams (specifically Product Marketing, Paid Media, eCommerce, Sales, and Finance) in a matrix environment
  • Proficiency using PowerPoint/Keynote, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
