Responsibilities
- Supervision of daily Quality functions of Calibration, CMM and Metrology Lab.
- Support CMM programming for new launches, improvements or corrective actions when needed.
- Establish priorities and ensure maximum usage of assigned resources on CMM and testing labs.
- Assist in investigating and correcting quality-related issues (including customer complaints) through collaboration with other departments.
- Coordinate Quality Technician for Process capability studies and final parts layout.
- Coordinate Gage specialist to prepare calibration certificates, Gage R&R studies and data reports.
- Develop monthly reports showing CMM and Metrology KPI performance and action plans.
- Lead Quality Coordinators to support process Quality issues.
- Coordinates containment and quarantine inventory control and material disposition
- Coordinates Warranty analysis reports to support Quality Engineers
- Supervise and direct good performance of quality assurance technicians/auditors by training, setting expectations, providing accountability, and performing evaluations
- implement continuous improvement of quality systems, ensuring quality product and process
- Coordinate support for APQP activities, including PPAP layouts and documentation.
- Participate in Change Request Notice (CRN) and process improvement teams
- Review, improve and manage Quality System consistent with IATF 16949 and Customer Specific requirements
- Lead training activities to ensure complete understanding of processes and specifications
- Any other activities as required by supervisor in alignment with ZF needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have attention to detail and measurement skills.
- Able to read and interpret Blueprints and an understanding of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Should be familiar with different units of the International System of Units (meter, kilogram, second, ampere, etc.); calculate and convert derived units (such as degree, ohm, joule, etc.) and apply multipliers to convert values.
- CMM (Coordinate measuring machine) programming skills, good mathematical knowledge, an understanding of applied and technical mathematics and concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
- Troubleshooting capability: skills to determine the reasons why measurements and test results are not within the expected range.
- Analytical ability: analyze raw data, extract key information and draw logical conclusions about data is key for the position.
- Must have good communication and computer skills, and be proficient in: Excel, Microsoft Word, and mistake proofing and technical documentation. Knowledge of IndySoft software preferred
- Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements.
- Previous Quality experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of control plans, green sheets and ESR documents
