Custodian

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Custodian. This person helps keep the warehouse in top condition by maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse by emptying garbage, recycling cardboard, sweeping and scrubbing floors, cleaning counter tops and windows. Keeping contamination control at a high level is critical for this position. Responsibilities: Maintain organized rows and stacks of cardboard bales and empty pallets Empty garbage cans in the warehouse Recycle all of the cardboard in the warehouse Sweep and scrub floors, ensuring all floors are clear Clean countertops and windows Call waste company when compactor is full Work in a cooperative manner with team and superiors Replace squeegee and brushes on floor scrubber Operate the forklift Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED required 2 years related experience Personal Attributes: Commitment/Dependability, Achievement Orientation, Planning and Organization, Attention to Detail, Efficiency Able to work independently Able to operate forklift Minor mechanical ability Minimum Physical Requirements:. Push/pull up to 75 lbs Lift/carry up to 50 lbs Lift bulky objects Standing, walking, using hands, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching. Working conditions are primarily indoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.
