If you love food, you'll love working in our well established, family owned Butcher Shop.

Zier's Prime Meats & Poultry is located at 813 Ridge Rd in Wilmette.

We hand cut our steaks and chops to order. Also, hand craft many types of sausages and miscellaneous other prepared foods.

We are looking for a friendly, energetic and service oriented meat cutter/butcher.

One that can not only can cut meat, but give our customers the personal service we have been known for over the last 35 years.

Candidates need to demonstrate a passion for food and make customer sanctification is top priority.

Qualifications:

- A friendly, positive attitude and not afraid to work.

- Reliability

- Customer Service experience

- Knowledge of cuts of meat.

- Assist customers with special requests (cooking knowledge a plus)

- Have ability to answer questions about our meat products and services.

- Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards

- Ensure the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh products for our customers.

- Receive, inspect meat upon delivery.

- Ability to multitask and stay organized

- Ability to work well with a team

- A positive and energetic attitude

- Attention to detail

Requirements:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.

- Previous experience working with equipment like meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.

. - Must be able to concentrate on the task at hand, but also be able to multitask in working with customers.

- Good hand-eye coordination is needed. Meat cutting requires precision and a steady hand

- Ability to work with customers to fulfill orders, answer questions and make recommendations for different cuts of meat.

- Ability to be stand for long periods of time.

- Must be available Tuesday thru Saturday. (on occasions Sunday and Monday)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
