Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Supervisor to join our healthcare team. As a House Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our facility and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of medical-surgical practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to standards of care and best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal care
- Conduct utilization reviews to ensure appropriate utilization of resources
- Utilize Epic or similar electronic medical record system to document patient information and track progress
- Coordinate pain management strategies for patients in collaboration with healthcare providers
- Demonstrate knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding and reimbursement systems
- Provide specialized care for geriatric patients, considering their unique needs and challenges
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines in all aspects of patient care
- Assist with airway management as needed during emergencies or critical situations
- Collaborate with case management teams to facilitate smooth transitions of care
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong background in medical-surgical nursing practices
- Proficiency in utilizing Epic or similar electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of pain management strategies and protocols
- Familiarity with DRG coding and reimbursement systems
- Experience working with geriatric patients preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
