Position Overview
The Brand Champion is responsible for achieving revenue and margin goals for a designated partner/assigned product line. You will accomplish this through proactive and reactive efforts in driving the partner’s information throughout the sales team. As a Brand Champion, we expect you will spend a significant portion of your time tracking pipeline opportunities, submitting/reviewing deal registrations, and reviewing quotes with a primary focus on progressing and assisting in closing opportunities.
A champion becomes able to recommend optimal configurations for the customer’s environment in a timely and effective manner. You will remain up to date on all partner products, partner programs, distribution programs and Zones programs that are applicable to the partner and can assist in closing business.
The Brand Champion is the Partner’s on-site presence. As an extension of the partner representatives, the Brand Champion conducts training in multiple formats and venues to ensure that Account Managers and other support departments are educated on the partner’s products, processes, and programs.
KEY INITIATIVES AND RESULTS EXPECTED: |
- Achieve brand-specific growth metrics in revenue, gross margin, and buying customers
- With enthusiasm, effectively evangelize and market the core benefits of the Brand’s products and programs to Zones sales staff, driving results and engagement.
- Support effective sales training, team huddles, and marketing activities, to create enthusiasm around Brand’s latest offerings and benefits.
- Effectively drive pipeline and deal closure of key products/technologies in partnership with sales.
- Own and track the Brand’s pipeline, including the review of open quotes, open orders, and future opportunities to achieve quarterly growth metrics.
- Create a company-wide awareness campaign for sellers and become recognized as the go-to resource for assistance in driving accretive revenue and gross profit.
STRATEGIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: |
- Provide weekly visibility on Brand performance; evangelizing key wins and success stories
- Achieve revenue & gross margin goals for designated partner utilizing all existing tools at your disposal (marketing vehicles, promotions, brand programs, incentives, CRM, etc.) as well as the support of initiative-based programs in coordination with the partner and the PPM Category Manager.
- Drive margin enhancing programs within the sales organization (Deal Registration, Promotional offers and Discounts programs).
- Review margin performance daily taking actions to maximize and find resolution to any anomalies.
- Achieve AM count and customer count goals for designated partner leveraging proactive training & enablement efforts with sales teams including classroom training, virtual training, team huddles, 1:1 engagement, incentives, promotions, and merchandising in coordination with the PPM Category Mgr.
- Assist in making connections and foster relationships with OEM sellers on the inside and in the field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, IT, or a relevant field
- 2 years of strategic account management preferred
- 2 years of relevant industry experience preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Computer Terminology and Technologies
- Knowledge about the IT reseller environment and familiarity with mechanics of partner programs:
