Zooba is now hiring Team Leaders for our Nolita restaurant.

The Job Details
- Supervise shift monitoring kitchen operations.
- Handle restaurant opening and closing requirements.
- Rotate kitchen stations mastering food preparation and presentation for all menu items.
- Ensure all stations are set up and ready for service following the SOPs.
- Fill in on stations based on restaurant demand.
- Prepare ingredients and recipes according to recipe book specifications.
- Ensure portion control, quality, and consistency.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Train, evaluate and lead kitchen staff.
- Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and SOPs.
- Ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
- Anticipate guest needs and interact as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Answer guest inquiries on menu, ingredients, and the Zooba brand.
- Expedite service under pressure providing team support and encouragement.
- Receive deliveries and ensure that the product is well maintained and up to standard.
- Complete orders and inventory.
- Manage waste, control food and labor costs.
- Ensure monitoring operations checklists are completed (JOLT).
- May handle cashier station including orders and guest service.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum two years’ experience in fast casual restaurant with high volume
- Able to manage, lead and direct a team
- Able to prioritize, organize and multi-task productively
- Familiar with operating kitchen equipment
- Able to work well under pressure
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk for eight consecutive hours
- Flexible schedule required (morning, evening, and weekend shifts)
- Food protection certificate from NYC DOH required
