Primary Function:
This role is responsible for supporting the Customer Service, Category Management, Finance, Order Management and Warehouse Teams with the end to end customer returns process, this includes knowledge of various modes of transportation. A Logistics Coordinator may also be involved in some aspects of returns warehouse management and is responsible for identifying process improvement recommendations throughout the return process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and consult with Category Management making sure Zoro’s Return terms and conditions are favorable to Zoro
- Process owner for all Reverse Logistics functions after the return is initiated
- Automating manual functions and reporting as needed
- Support Transportation Analyst in creating the Return Dashboarding, measuring of all aspects of returns
- Have an understanding of DOT regulations, including hazardous materials
- Frequently work directly with external suppliers and customers to resolve issues & process returns
- Challenging, unprecedented scenarios that require coordination across functions within
- Ability to perform cost base analysis to ensure overall returns
- Negotiate with 3rd party suppliers/vendors on warranty and non-stocked item returns utilizing current Supplier Agreement Letters (SALs)/contracts
- Partner with Supplier Management , Returns Center DC’s reporting on and problem solving exceptions
- Manually track return items received at third party warehouses to ensure customer credit and Zoro product credit received
- Track and follow up on customer returns from customer request through product disposition
- Summarize, analyze, and communicate return data to various stakeholders and leaders
- in multiple functional areas, i.e. Transportation, Merchandising, Supplier Management (MSM),, DC Operations, Order Management, and Customer Service Centers
- Design, recommend, and implement process improvements to the customer returns process
- Present monthly on Returns KPIs, returns by reason, high damage modes and shippers, return rate, return impact to gross sales
- Assist in tracking and dashboarding the Liquidation of Return Goods
- Work within Returns Management System ensuring product disposition is uploaded and entered
- Leverage Returns system reporting to manage day to day business and trends
- Process Customer LTL returns, exceptions, no movements, over shipments, and return to senders
- Manage Freight Claim Process
- Has a good understand of Freight carrier tracking, document retrieval and claims processing
Qualifications:
- Three to five years Logistics, Transportation and/or Returns Management experience
- College Degree preferred; minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrates analytical skills
- Demonstrates a commitment to provide superior customer service internally and externally
- Effective communicator, comfortable interacting with customers, internal leaders and external third party providers in a professional manner in person and via the internet.
- Proficiency with required software programs including NetSuite and SAP
- Proficiency with Excel and G-Suite applications
- Professional in appearance, attitude and action.
- Problem solving skills
