Job Description
Zscaler is looking for a highly-skilled technical editor to review and edit content produced by our threat research team. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing technical research focused on nation-state malware threats, ransomware, and new vulnerability discoveries. This role will work closely with Zscaler threat researchers to ensure our technical content meets the highest standards for accuracy, clarity, and readability.
Responsibilities
- Review and edit technical reports, blogs, social media content, and presentations for speaking engagements
- Develop and maintain document templates and establish style formatting guidelines
- Ensure technical content is accurate, clear, and understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide feedback to researchers to improve the quality of their technical content
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in computer security-related threat research
Qualifications
- Required 3 years of experience in reviewing highly technical documents
- Must have experience reviewing/writing technical research in cybersecurity, preferably on topics such as nation-state malware threats, ransomware, and new vulnerability discoveries.
- Exemplary English reading, writing, and speaking skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with team members, stakeholders, and external partners
Preferred
- Experience reviewing threat research content and familiar with the latest trends
- Ability to create high-quality graphics and visuals to accompany technical content for blogs and social media platforms
Education
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree from four-year college or university (preferably in English or a related discipline), or equivalent industry work experience.
Additional Information
The base salary range for this full-time position is $87,500 to $125,000 equity benefits.
Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
