Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of parts to our customers. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a passion for ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, including warehouse management, shipping, and receiving.
- Manage the inventory of parts, ensuring that all stock is properly stored, tracked, and rotated to minimize obsolescence.
- Collaborate with the sales team to source parts from suppliers and negotiate prices.
- Utilize AS400 systems to track inventory levels and manage orders.
- Ensure that all parts are properly priced and displayed in the warehouse.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and address any discrepancies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new systems and processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by resolving any issues promptly and efficiently.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve warehouse operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in parts management, preferably in an automotive service environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management and shipping receiving procedures.
- Proficiency in using forklifts and AS400 systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to negotiate prices and manage supplier relationships.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with automotive service and parts pricing.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
