Position Summary
Reporting to the QA/PI/RM Program Manager, the Data Program Assistant (DPA) is responsible for assisting with maintaining the data integrity of UDS performance and other clinical measures and the implementation of value-based care activities. The Data Program Assistant will work with the QA/PI/RM Program Manager, the Data Analysts and the clinical teams to ensure data integrity of clinical indicators entered in eClinical Works and will assist in data capture and analysis of reports for funders, grants and insurers to demonstrate and enhance value-based care. Must be a critical thinker and analyze information, have strong attention to detail be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, able to work independently and interact well with individuals and in groups, work collaboratively, meet project deadlines, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Routinely reviews, identifies, and corrects data entered in eCW, resulting reports, and other recurring documents to ensure data integrity.
· Supports the QA/PI/RM Program Manager with all data reviews and project activities under their purview.
· Prepares routine reports documenting findings; creates reports, tables and graphs using Microsoft Office Tools; participates in formal and informal presentation of findings in task forces, subcommittees, and committee meetings.
· Assists with data preparation and input from the different disciplines for entry into the health center, the UDS, grant-specific and insurer databases and presentation in QA meetings.
· Assist in the communication and coordination of health insurance incentive programs.
· Coordinates with Health Plans and Site Managers to monitor and complete preventative and chronic gaps in care by evaluating reporting tools, utilizing data reports to inform care team members of gaps, and ensuring that patient data is entered into eCW or other data fields for follow up and reporting.
· Provides assistance in troubleshooting entries in the EMR; assists with maintenance of summary reports for staff use and/or for federal and state funders.
· Collaborates and interfaces with IT and ECW trainers to maintain accurate reporting of clinical measures and services in EMR and communicate appropriate modifications to eCW to improve data integrity, process flows, and reports.
· Assists with developing policies and procedures to update information or to describe new programs related to data entry, program metrics or other related activities
· Participates in collaboratives, team meetings, and task forces as assigned, with main focus on data collection and tracking.
· Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Experience in data entry (essential) and database development, data management and analysis (preferred). Experience with HEDIS and CMS measures, and medical insurance requirements preferred.
· Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with EMR (ECW) preferred.
· Experience working with community-based organizations as support staff, evaluator, direct service provider or consultant.
· Experience providing training and/or technical assistance.
