What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Assistant Manager position at Zumiez?
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations of the store
- Oversee and supervise store employees, providing guidance and support
- Ensure excellent customer service by leading by example and resolving customer complaints or issues
- Manage inventory control and stock replenishment to ensure adequate product availability
- Monitor cash register operations, including cash handling and transactions
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new employees
- Conduct employee orientation and provide ongoing coaching and development
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in budgeting and inventory control
- Knowledge of cash register operations and basic math skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
- Familiarity with recruiting and employee onboarding processes
