The Zuora University team is a nimble, highly efficient group responsible for delivering product training to our customers, partners, and employees. We’re collaborative (but still expect each other to own our respective projects); passionate about learning (but realize we must balance time-to-market with perfection); open to giving and receiving honest feedback (but are always kind) so that, in the end, we deliver the highest quality product.  

We’re seeking a Training Manager to manage training programs and projects, oversee curriculums, work with content and curriculum manager, technical trainers, and instructional designers to see that training gets delivered on time and in high quality. Essentially, this role will ensure that all Zuora University training material is up-to-date, aligned with product roadmaps, and delivered in adherence to the Zuora University Roadmap. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detailed multi-tasker who partners with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders to achieve deliverables. 

 
What you’ll do & achieve 

  • Collaborate with the Head of Zuora University to maintain and manage its roadmap 
  • Provide guidance to the content delivery team on instructional strategies, delivery timelines, to ensure that the team is working towards our quarterly and yearly goals 
  • Coordinate with the content and curriculum manager to ensure that courses and projects are completed on time 
  • Proactively communicate verbal and written feedback to improve course delivery and aid in improving overall quality of training content
  • Partner with the Head of Zuora University to identify resource requirements and work with team members to establish capacity plans in concert with project timelines
  • Set up baseline metrics to measure success of various learning programs
  • Work closely with the operations team to setup and communicate training outcomes internally and externally
  • Must be able to guide the training team and take on a training role that requires  
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills in all classroom settings
    • Ability to quickly and consistently establish rapport with learners
    • Ability to empathize with audience in a learner-centered approach
    • Experience in a wide variety of training delivery methods
  • Build quality checks throughout the development cycle, confirming training being developed meets learning objectives, adheres to the Zuora brand and style guide and is error free
  • Build credibility through strong relationships with key stakeholders and a solid track record of results. Leverage alliances to garner support for ideas. 


What you’ll need to be successful: 

  • BA/BS degree and 5 years experience with increasing responsibility in a Knowledge Management, Training or related field
  • Experience and competency in managing learning projects to completion
  • A strong sense of ownership, drive to solve problems and achieve goals, and ability to deliver under pressure
  • Experience working with technical material and/or software development  teams and audiences
  • Ability and interest to work collaboratively with a geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented, data-driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize a varied workload with multiple stakeholders and shifting demands
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, stay flexible through organizational growth and change
  • An innate curiosity to understand the whole system
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience managing a variety of learning projects, including web-based/e-learning, video, instructor-led classes, blended learning, and assessments.
  • Knowledge of: Adult Learn Theory, Performance Consulting (Strategic Business Partnership), End-to-end Learning Process
  • Proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar
