Application Developer II

RCIS (Rural Community Insurance Services), a division of Zurich North America, is currently hiring a Application Developer to work for its team out of our Anoka, MN office where she/he will be responsible for various development projects and initiatives for the Rural Community Insurance Services line of business.

The application will support the development of applications by understanding the requirements of customers and recommending application performance improvements to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, implement and support complex Web applications using knowledge of technologies including Angular, TypeScript, C#, Web API, SQL, IIS, Azure Dev Ops, and associated technologies.
• Solve technical problems around application system design, performance, scalability, and system/product stability.
• Evaluates systems specifications for web application requirements and determines/implements the most efficient and cost-effective software solutions.
• Provides application support and attends to application and server related issues.
• Agile Environment - daily standups, work supported by using Azure Dev Ops - stories, taskboard, repos, pull requests, git etc..
• Work on small team with dev lead, business analyst, QA person, collaborative

Required:

• Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area

OR

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area

AND

• Experience assisting with design, coding benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
• Experience working with multiple phases of software systems programming applications

Preferred:

• Insurance Industry Experience
