SQL Application Developer

Zycron has joined with a large corporation in search of a SQL Application Developer

Hybrid Position (Must be able to work onsite)

The Senior Application Engineer will be working with cross-functional teams and utilizing SQL, MicroStrategy, Teradata, and other databases platforms and tools.

The Senior Application Engineer will ensure the effective design, build, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of applications against relational databases and other applicable data sources to support end-user processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Seasoned data professional and subject matter expert with a full understanding of data tools and concepts; ability to resolve a wide range of highly complex issues in creative ways

· Creates situationally-appropriate strategies and tactics to arbitrate, mediate, or reconcile conflicts or resistance to change

· Lead and manage multiple project tasks at a time.

· Lead troubleshooting activities to resolution.

· Works on unique and unusually complex projects. Ability to work with a little supervision in a Lean environment.

· Ability to create clear and concise documentation on design and operational topics.

· Acts as a consultant on large projects that affect organization's long-term goals and objectives.

· Actively builds strong bonds and relationships with all customers and department heads. Encourages and guides staff to be customer focused.

· Self-driven learner of technology and programming.

· Act as a mentor and provides direction to colleagues with less expertise

Minimum Job Requirements

· Bachelor's degree preferred.

· 5 years' work experience

· Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

· Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:

· Specific expertise/experience in data acquisition, data cleansing and parsing required.

· Specific expertise/experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization required

· Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or other DBMS

· Specific expertise/experience with ETL tools such as Teradata Protocol Transport, SSIS, and SyncSort DMExpress

· Extensive experience in Teradata SQL or extensive experience in other ANSI SQL languages (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres) required.

· Specific expertise/experience in the areas of data structures and data warehousing required.

· MicroStrategy, Business Objects, or other Enterprise BI tools.

· Report writing experience.

· Knowledge of Clinical and Financial Applications

· Knowledge of EMR such as Enterprise Health, Meditech Epic, Systoc, Agility, Cerner PowerChart, OpenPM

· Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Unix shell scripting, etc.

· Strong analytical and design skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Works to build technical knowledge by taking advantage of internal team mentoring and attending professional development opportunities.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
