We respond quickly and help provide confort in times of turmoil. Action Towing and Road Service, Inc was founded in 1983 in San Carlos, California by Bill Banks. Bill spent his life serving his community. After 20 years as a Police Officer in Belmont he retired and focused his efforts on his business. When he started Action, he was raising three small children and working to build a quality towing company. Bills strong work ethic and philosophy of honest business is how the business is still run today and is why his family feels the business continues to grow year after year. In 1993 Bills son Brian began working fulltime alongside his father. He found that he really enjoyed the tow trucks and being able to help people. His young enthusiasm became an asset, helping to manage and grow a rapidly changing business. Brian has used that passion to expand the business from a light duty towing and road service company to a medium and heavy duty towing and recovery business. Working next to his father he learned a lot about running a quality business. Bill Banks passed away unexpectedly in 2009 bringing great sadness to all those who knew and respected his many accomplishments. Currently, Brian and his family continue to run and grow the business that Bill was so passionate about. Today Action Towing continues to be a proud family owned and operated company with a strong commitment to serving the Peninsula. All of Bills children continue to live in the area and participate in community and charitable events. Recently they have participated in events such as San Carlos Hometown Days, Sober Graduation, Toys for Tots, Muscular Dystrophy Associations lock-up program and continue to sponsor local sports programs. Quite literally, we do it all. We have all the equipment, expertise and experience needed to provide top quality service for any type of call. From a simple jumpstart to exotic heavy duty aircraft recoveries we are your go-to company for all of you towing, service and recovery needs.
