Position Overview: The Sr. Director Engineering, Spectrum & Regulatory Advocacy position will play a critical role in laying the necessary regulatory groundwork for implementing NextNav’s 5G based PNT network. This individual will combine deep technical expertise in RF engineering, FCC regulatory rules and processes, and engineering analysis to advance our positions through regulatory processes (particularly with the FCC), perform detailed technical assessments to proactively identify and rectify potential issues involving complex wireless environments, and lead external engineer-to-engineer engagement to advocate for the company’s positions and drive consensus in industry discussions. Deep understand and experience with FCC spectrum regulatory process is a must, including active involvements in petition for rulemaking, PN, NOI, NPRM and R&O.
