Now I dont have to anticipate hitting pause in my 24-hour production schedule. Like most others, my jobs should pump 24 hours a day, and no-one on the job can afford a delay. I had been relying on out-of-Basin sand for years, but the transportation costs were high and the miles of road between the sand mine and my site meant that delays in delivery happened more often than not. Also, the more the sand was handled, the greater the risk for our equipment. For the first time in years, I dont have to compromise quality to get sand quickly delivered to my site. A faster turn-time means I can actually get ahead of schedule instead of playing catch-up. Right on time despite our rigorous schedule, and better than the stuff from up north. I was initially skeptical about using in-Basin sand because we had been using sand from Wisconsin for years. Everyone in this industry understands how critical having the right proppant is to getting the job done and pleasing our operators. It was a huge relief to see Alpines turbidity tests and know that they are just as committed to quality as I am. Every delivery Ive received from them has been consistently impressive, from the quality of the sand to the quality of the service. One of the most impressive sand providers Ive ever worked with. Alpine Silica is always on the same page as my team and me. There are a lot of moving parts that go into getting frac sand delivered to my site, so I need a sand provider that keeps the lines of communication open, and will be available when my schedule gets out of whack. Alpine Silica is up-front about what their role in the process is from start to finish. They know exactly what they can provide, which means no surprises when it comes time for delivery. I know that if I have a question or problem, I can call my rep at Alpine and theyll pick up the phone, every time. If only all my vendors were this responsive. I can place my order online and know that real, qualified people are handling it. There are a million things onsite that need my ...

What Skills Does a person Need at Alpine Silica?

At Alpine Silica, specify the abilities and skills that a person needs in order to carry out the specified job duties. Each competency has five to ten behavioral assertions that can be observed, each with a corresponding performance level (from one to five) that is required for a particular job.

  1. Leadership: Knowledge of and ability to employ effective strategies that motivate and guide other members within our business to achieve optimum results.
  2. Continuous Improvement: A continual improvement process, also often called a continuous improvement process (abbreviated as CIP or CI), is an ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes. These efforts can seek "incremental" improvement over time or "breakthrough" improvement all at once. Delivery (customer valued) processes are constantly evaluated and improved in the light of their efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility. Some see CIPs as a meta-process for most management systems (such as business process management, quality management, project management, and program management). W. Edwards Deming, a pioneer of the field, saw it as part of the 'system' whereby feedback from the process and customer were evaluated against organisational goals. The fact that it can be called a management process does not mean that it needs to be executed by 'management'; but rather merely that it makes decisions about the implementation of the delivery process and the design of the delivery process itself.
  3. Problem Solving: Analyzing and identifying the root cause of problems and applying critical thinking skills to solve problems.
  4. Planning: An act or process of making or carrying out plans. Establishment of goals, policies, and procedures for a social or economic unit city planning business planning.
  5. Coaching: Coaching is a form of development in which an experienced person, called a coach, supports a learner or client in achieving a specific personal or professional goal by providing training and guidance.
