The Area 51 Research Center is a private clearinghouse for information about Area 51, government secrecy and certain UFO claims. Our primary means of distribution is the World Wide Web at http://www.ufomind.com. The Research Center consists of three full-time employees and a loose-knit network of researchers. Most of our work is done in Las Vegas and elsewhere. Our free internet service is partly funded by our retail and mail order book business here in Rachel. We sell only books we have confidence in and that we would buy ourselves. We do not sell most "alien" merchandise, which we believe is incompatible with serious research. If you are interested mainly in souvenirs, we suggesting visiting the Quik Pick or Little A'Le'Inn here in town. We believe that a few of the stories about UFOs at Area 51 deserve serious attention. However, we think most of the claims made by visitors along the "Alien Highway" are less credible. Routine military exercises and the flares and aircraft lights associated with them account for most of the "UFOs" people see here. Like most other people in Rachel, none of us here have ever seen a UFO. Feel free to ask us any questions you like, but we may have to answer "I don't know," to many of them. No purchase is necessary to visit here, but any products you buy will help fund our continued research.
