All Preschool classrooms implement a research-based curricula program that is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education. Currently, our Preschool Program uses Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies. This program infuses core foundational learning components for young students in six-week long units of study. Each unit of study is centered around a real-life topic that is relevant to our students. Some topics include Lights, Trees, Exercise, Clothing and Buildings. To support learning, Teaching Strategies Gold is used as our core assessment tool, which focuses on individual student growth in the main areas of development: Social-Emotional, Physical, Language, Cognitive, Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, The Arts, and English Language Acquisition. In addition, we support the transition to kindergarten through our Next Level Kindergarten Readiness Academy instructional supplement. Students are immersed into interactive and goal-orientated learning opportunities that align with specific foundational academic skills, such as letter recognition, counting, and early comprehension. The Second Step program is also used in our Preschool classrooms to enhance the development of each child's social skills and emotional regulation through mini-lessons that focus on specific problem-solving techniques.
