She practices with one goal in mind: Giving the citizens of South Carolina the best legal service available. Ms. Atkins has practiced workers' compensation since 1990. She began her career in workers' compensation at the South Carolina State Accident Fund. There, she handled claims for South Carolina employers and learned a great deal about how insurance Companies view workers' compensation claims. She was appointed Chairman of the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission in 1999 by then Governor Hodges and served until 2003. Serving as a SC Workers' Compensation Commissioner and traveling across the entire State exposed Ms. Atkins to all types of accidents and injuries. At the Atkins Law Firm, the staff of four women share caring attitudes and dedication to hard work. Our staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. They, too, go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that our clients are well taken care of. Our staff deals with the everyday irritations involved in workers' compensation claims with a cheerful "can-do" attitude. We look forward to meeting you.
