Job Summary: Working in one of three emergency department locations (University Hospital adult and pediatric and Community) to ensure smooth patient flow and prompt registration. Interview emergency room patients through a bedside registration process to obtain demographic and financial information. This may include, but not limited to informing patients of insurance benefits (from RTE or web site); providing estimate to patient of anticipated out of pocket costs of care; collecting amount due, and/or offering payment plan; and/or providing information about financial assistance programs. Document in Epic the outcome of the financial portion of the registration.
