At Blue Baker we offer a comprehensive training program for every position. Every crewmember starts by learning our basic positions - sandwich earl, prep cook, and cleaner. After these positions are mastered crewmembers can learn as many other positions in which they are interested. Training is a hands-on experience - no sitting in front of a video screen for hours. We believe that to truly learn, you must do. Every trainee has a trainer working side by side with them until they master the steps. For most of our crewmembers this happens very fast, but we allow crewmembers to take their time learning. Managers are trained through every position at Blue Baker, including our bakery, prep and catering positions. On-site training classes are offered for all interested crewmembers on topics such as service, finance, training, and leadership. Blue Baker has also sent several of our key crewmembers to classes all over the United States. A few of our bakery crewmembers have attended week-long courses at the San Francisco Baking Institute taught by some of the most renowned artisan bakers in the world. Several of our management crewmembers have attended training classes on topics including planning, service, training, and merchandising. We are constantly looking for new opportunities to offer to our crew that will develop their skills and grow our business.

Photography: Photography is the art, application and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film. It is employed in many fields of science, manufacturing (e.g., photolithography), and business, as well as its more direct uses for art, film and video production, recreational purposes, hobby, and mass communication. Typically, a lens is used to focus the light reflected or emitted from objects into a real image on the light-sensitive surface inside a camera during a timed exposure. With an electronic image sensor, this produces an electrical charge at each pixel, which is electronically processed and stored in a digital image file for subsequent display or processing. The result with photographic emulsion is an invisible latent image, which is later chemically "developed" into a visible image, either negative or positive depending on the purpose of the photographic material and the method of processing. A negative image on film is traditionally used to photographically create a positive image on a paper base, known as a print, either by using an enlarger or by contact printing.
