Box-Board Products, Inc. was founded in 1968 by Bill Kirby, an outstanding salesman for several of the national corrugated manufacturers. Once Bill realized that there was a market for boxes that were considered rejects or misprints by other box manufacturers, he started a three-person operation to market these boxes. The company established a strong customer base and quickly outgrew several locations; by 1976 it had achieved over $500,000 in sales. Gray Ingram joined Bill Kirby as a salesman in 1968 and became a partner in 1976. When Bill Kirby retired in 1984, Gray became full owner and President of Box-Board Products, Inc. In the early 90's, customer demand increased and Box-Board Products ventured into manufacturing its own boxes; this venture led to fast growth and increased profitability. In 2006 Gray transitioned from his role as President of Box-Board Products, Inc. to Chairman of the Board and his son, Rodney Ingram, took on the role of President. Box-Board Products partnered with Greif, a world leader in industrial packaging, in 2009. Although we still operate independently, our partnership with Grief, Inc. has improved our supply chain. Today Box-Board Products is located in a facility that was built in 1996 and has over 285,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space. In 2008, we increased our warehouse space by acquiring an additional 85,000 square foot facility. Between the two locations, Box-Board Products employs a skilled workforce of just under 200 employees located in Greensboro, N.C. Although Box-Board Products started out as a small distributor, the company has grown into a large manufacturer of custom corrugated containers and wholesaler of numerous packaging supplies. Over the years, we have maintained a dedicated customer base due to our relentless commitment to quality, reliability, and service. Box-Board Products is Headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina.
