The roots of Canyon Landscaping began in the spring of 1999 with the birth of a company named Yards, Chores, and More which specialized in small landscape and maintenance projects that other companies would not do. The slogan of "Let us do the job that you don't want to" became a hot ticket for Cache Valley, Utah residents. As a college student, B.J. Smith continued the young company with the goal to turn Landscaping into a career. After graduating from Utah State University in 2002, he changed the name to Canyon Landscaping and became licensed and insured through the State of Utah as a landscape contractor. The focus of the business was to bring quality, integrity, and value to every project with great products and superior customer service. The work remained focused on doing tough and small landscaping jobs that others did not want to tackle, but also included traditional lawn, sprinkler, and planting installation into the service mix. Growth and success continued from 2003-2005 focusing primarily on residential landscaping and then adding commercial projects in 2006. The company again increased its services offered to include the luxuries of landscaping with paver, lighting, retaining wall, putting green, and water feature installation. Today in Davis, Weber, Box Elder, and Cache counties, Canyon Landscaping actively provides both landscape installation and maintenance services. During the holidays they continue as the longest provider of Christmas lighting services in Cache Valley beginning in 1996. Today Canyon Landscaping employs 15 - 20 full time employees from March through December. The goal of B.J. and his employees still remains to build a loyal customer base through great service and a superior product.
