CARPI's laboratories perform standard mechanical resistance tests, as well as large scale tests simulating stress conditions on large samples, such as puncture and burst resistance test. Research includes investigation of performance of materials and systems by simulation equipment. The range of our testing equipment also includes large scale hydraulic vessels to compare efficiency of drainage systems, large scale hydraulic vessels to simulate settlements, equipment for simulation of seismic events. Simulation structures are custom constructed to compare different solutions prior to final design. Among them, real scale models have already been constructed to ascertain puncture performance, relative friction coefficents, hydraulic roughness.
