Since 1993, CASAT has provided culturally appropriate, state-of-the-art, research-based training and technology transfer activities, academic courses, and managed large multi-state, multi-organizational projects. As a Center within the Division of Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno, CASAT's primary mission is to improve prevention and treatment services for individuals with addictive behaviors by helping states, organizations, students, and the existing workforce apply research-based practices. Of particular note is CASAT's familiarity with successful technology transfer strategies.
