When you come to CEGO, you will find New York City's largest and finest selection of international shirting fabrics. Our stock includes ever-popular whites (broadcloth and textured), hundreds of blues (from sky to navy), lavenders, and pinks; as well as stripes and checks in many varieties. Each of our fabrics is sourced from the most trusted and renowned producers in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Japan, as well as luxurious domaine contrlée producers such as those of Sea Island (an Atlantic isle south of Georgia which produces exceptionally fine cotton). All custom shirts are tailored in the U.S.A. CEGO Custom Shirts was started in June of 1982. Owner, Carl Goldberg, grew up working at his family's Philadelphia based Army & Navy surplus store. While selling blue jeans and work wear, his father, Charles Goldberg wore custom-made clothing of the highest quality. Carl was influenced by his father's sartorial expertise. Stints at Barney's downtown, running the special order department of a Brooklyn based suit factory, and selling woolens to custom tailors completed his early work experience leading up to the start of the business.
