Job Description Job Description A Direct Support Professional is responsible for safety and supervision of our individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) and /or Autism. A DSP is a highly-skilled supportive and compassionate individual who has extensive experience caring for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. The DSP is responsible for fulfilling the obligations as outlined in the individual service plan (ISP). Perform all functions with an everyday lives approach including a Person-Centered-Plan for the individual. Administer medication as needed. Support individuals in activities of daily living such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, etc. Assist in community integration activities and access to community supports including medical appointments, social security access etc.
