DEPARTMENT INFORMATION Job Description Summary: The laboratory of Dr. Lauren Woodie is looking for a full-time Research Assistant in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Woodie’s lab investigates the neural control of circadian metabolism in mouse models of human disease (www.thewoodielab.com). We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated individual to provide research support by assisting with experiments in a controlled laboratory environment. The Research Assistant will be directly trained and supervised by Dr. Woodie and work closely with her on a daily basis. The Research Assistant can expect to receive mentoring and guidance from the PI to advance their career in academic, industrial, and private research. General Description: The primary responsibility of this position is to collect fisheries data over the telephone for surveys sponsored by State or Federal Agencies according to contract requirements. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, entering data, conducting silent monitoring, interacting with fishery constituents to increase participation, and assisting to ensure that all survey requirements are met.
