The City of Sanibel is developing a project to widen the shared use path along Tarpon Bay Road from Periwinkle Way to West Gulf Drive, to a minimum of eight feet. This project will improve access to the Sanibel Gardens Preserve, J.N. "Ding" Darling Wildlife Refuge Bailey Tract, Tarpon Bay Restroom Facilities, Tarpon Bay Beach Access and supporting facilities. A public meeting is being held to gain input from residents as part of the overall planning process for the Tarpon Bay Road Shared Use Path widening project. The public meeting is scheduled for March 21, 2008 at Sanibel City Hall, 800 Dunlop Road, in MacKenzie Hall, at 4 o'clock p.m. All residents are invited to attend.
