Summary The Senior CMT Technician is a highly specialized technician requiring little or no supervision. This technician is certified in three or more disciplines, and mentors other CMT Technicians. These disciplines include but are not limited to the American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC), the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), and a state Department of Transportation entity (such as LaDOTD, MDOT, or TxDOT). The Senior CMT Technician has a minimum of ten years' experience in construction engineering technology or an equivalent. The Senior CMT Technician must demonstrate supervisory skills. This CMT Technician inspects materials and observes activities associated with construction of streets, bridges, buildings, levees, etc., to ensure the procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications by performing the following duties.
