Develop new programs for CNC equipment to run newly designed parts and components. Analyse jobs to reduce setup times and maximize workflow. Conduct machine setups efficiently. Perform first-piece inspection using visual and hand inspection equipment such as Vernier callipers, micrometres, and dial indicators. Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and programming teams for process improvements. Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and pieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Monitor CNC operations, ensuring proper lubrication and cooling during machine operation. Review program specifications or blueprints to determine operations, sequencing, dimensions, and control sequences. Perform additional duties as assigned.
